81-1212. Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program;created; department; duties.(1) The Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program is created.The Department of Economic Development shall award a grant to a city of themetropolitan class in the amount of two hundred thousand dollars, contingentupon formal notification by the United States Department of Housing and UrbanDevelopment that it intends to award a grant to a city of the metropolitanclass to carry out the federal Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard ReductionAct of 1992, Title X, Section 1011, Public Law 102-550, as such act existedon July 15, 2010.(2) It is the intentof the Legislature to provide a one-time appropriation for the Lead-BasedPaint Hazard Control Program with lapsed funding from the Legislative Councilfrom the Nebraska Health Care Cash Fund.(3) This section terminates on June 30, 2011.
