§1‑29.  Cotenants.

If in actions by tenants incommon or joint tenants of personal property, to recover the same, or damagesfor its detention or injury, any of them are barred of their recovery bylimitation of time, the rights of the others are not affected thereby, but theymay recover according to their right and interest, notwithstanding such bar. (C.C.P.,s. 52; Code, s. 173; Rev., s. 374; C.S., s. 419; 1921, c. 106.)
