§ 120‑32.01. Information to be supplied.

(a)        Every Statedepartment, State agency, or State institution shall furnish the LegislativeServices Office and the Research, Fiscal Research, Program Evaluation, and BillDrafting Divisions any information or records requested by them and access toany facilities and personnel requested by them. Except when accessibility isprohibited by a federal statute, federal regulation, or State statute, everyState department, State agency, or State institution shall give the LegislativeServices Office and these divisions access to any data base or storedinformation maintained by computer, telecommunications, or other electronicdata processing equipment, whether stored on tape, disk, or otherwise, andregardless of the medium for storage or transmission.

(b)        Notwithstandingsubsection (a) of this section, access to the State Personnel ManagementInformation System by the Research, Bill Drafting, and Program EvaluationDivisions shall only be through the Fiscal Research Division.

(c)        Consistent withsubsection (a) of this section and notwithstanding any other law relating toprivacy of personnel records, the Retirement Systems Division of the Departmentof State Treasurer shall furnish the Fiscal Research Division direct onlineread‑only access to active and retired member information or recordsmaintained by the Retirement Systems Division in online information systems.Direct online read‑only access shall not include access to medicalrecords of individual members.
