§121‑15.  Authority to acquire necessary property for restoration whencertain funds available.

The Department of CulturalResources is hereby authorized and directed to acquire the necessary propertyin New Bern, North Carolina, for the restoration of Tryon's Palace, when asmuch as two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000), or securities in saidamount as provided in G.S. 121‑17, has been provided by privatecontributions for this purpose: Provided, that the Department of CulturalResources at such time shall find that there are reasonable grounds toanticipate that from private donations there will thereafter be provided amplefunds to restore the Palace.
