(a) The Commission is authorized to adopt, amend, and repeal allrules necessary for the implementation of this Part.
(b) The Commission shall adopt rules for the operation of theadult care portion of a combination home. The rules shall provide that for eachrequirement applicable to freestanding adult care homes or freestanding nursinghomes, the combination home may choose to operate the adult care portion of thehome in compliance with either the requirement applicable to freestanding adultcare homes or the higher standard applicable to freestanding nursing homes.
