When planning a regionallysignificant transportation project, the Department shall consider designalternatives that will facilitate the cost‑effective interface of theproject with other existing or planned transportation projects, includinghighway, airport, rail, bus, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities. The Departmentof Transportation shall record its consideration of these design alternativesin the planning documents for the project. (1999‑328, s. 4.10.)
