§136‑34.  Department of Transportation authorized to furnish roadequipment to municipalities.

The Department ofTransportation is hereby authorized to furnish municipalities road maintenanceequipment to aid such municipalities in the maintenance of streets upon suchrental agreement as may be agreed upon by the Department of Transportation andthe said municipality. Such rental, however, is to be at least equal to thecost of operation, plus wear and tear on such equipment; and the Department ofTransportation shall not be required to furnish equipment when to do so wouldinterfere with the maintenance of the streets and highways under the control ofthe Department of Transportation.
