§ 14‑401.17.  Unlawfulremoval or destruction of electronic dog collars.

(a)        It is unlawful tointentionally remove or destroy an electronic collar or other electronic deviceplaced on a dog by its owner to maintain control of the dog.

(b)        A first convictionfor a violation of this section is a Class 3 misdemeanor. A second orsubsequent conviction for a violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.

(c)        This act isenforceable by officers of the Wildlife Resources Commission, by sheriffs anddeputy sheriffs, and peace officers with general subject matter jurisdiction.

(d)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑94, s. 1, effective December 1, 2005, and applicable tooffenses committed on or after that date. (1993 (Reg. Sess., 1994), c. 699, s. 1‑4; 1995(Reg.
