§ 142‑63.  Authorizationof financing contract.

Subject to the terms andconditions set forth in this Article, a State governmental unit that hassolicited a guaranteed energy conservation measure pursuant to G.S. 143‑64.17Aor G.S. 143‑64.17B or the State Treasurer, as designated by the Councilof State, is authorized to execute and deliver, for and on behalf of the Stateof North Carolina, a financing contract to finance the costs of the energyconservation measure. The aggregate outstanding amount payable by the Stateunder financing contracts entered pursuant to this Article shall not exceedfive hundred million dollars ($500,000,000) at any one time.  (2002‑161, s. 9; 2006‑190,s. 6; 2009‑375, s. 1.)
