§ 143‑538.  Powersand duties.

During the inaugural planning period the Committee on InauguralCeremonies shall plan and sponsor official parades, swearing‑ inceremonies and other formal occasions connected with the swearing‑ in andinstallation of the Governor and other members of the Council of State.Throughout the inaugural planning period the Committee shall consult with andremain in close contact with the Governor‑elect and all of the othermembers‑elect of the Council of State upon certification of theirelection. Balls, dinners, testimonials, parties and other informal occasionsshall be coordinated with official events by the Committee; however, nothing inthis Article shall preclude any  group or person from conducting private eventsduring the inaugural period.
