§143A‑44.3.  Superintendent of Public Instruction; creation; transfer ofpowers and duties.

The office of theSuperintendent of Public Instruction, as provided for by Article III, Section 7of the Constitution, and the Department of Public Instruction are transferredto the Department of Public Instruction. The Superintendent of PublicInstruction shall be the Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer of theState Board of Education, and shall have all powers and duties conferred by theConstitution, by the State Board of Education, Chapter 115C of the GeneralStatutes, and the laws of this State. (1995, c. 72, s. 3.)
