The Forestry Council shall meet annually in October and at least threeother times a year and may hold special meetings at any time and place withinthe State at the call of the chairperson or upon the written request of atleast a majority of the members. At least one meeting during each two‑yearperiod shall be held in the Mountains, Piedmont, and the Coastal Plain. (1973, c. 1262, s. 54; 1995 (Reg. Sess., 1996), c.653, s. 3.)
