§ 143B‑437.03. Allocation of economic development responsibilities.

The Economic Development Board created in G.S. 143B‑434 shallcoordinate economic development efforts among the various agencies andentities, including those created by executive order of the Governor, thatreceive economic development appropriations and the Board shall recommend tothe Governor and to the General Assembly the assignment of key responsibilitiesfor different aspects of economic development.  The Board shall recommend to theGovernor and to the General Assembly resource allocation and planning designedto encourage each agency to focus on its area of primary responsibility and notdiffuse its resources by conducting activities assigned to other agencies. (1993, c. 321, s. 313(e); 1997‑456, s. 27.)
