§ 143B‑438.12. Federal Program Administration.

(a)        Federal Workforce Investment Act. – In accordance with thefederal Workforce Investment Act, the Commission on Workforce Development shalldevelop a Five‑Year Strategic Plan to be submitted to the U.S. Secretaryof Labor. The Strategic Plan shall describe the workforce developmentactivities to be undertaken in the State to implement the federal WorkforceInvestment Act and how special populations shall be served.

(b)        Other Workforce Grant Applications. – The Commission onWorkforce Development may submit grant applications for workforce developmentinitiatives and may manage the initiatives and demonstration projects. (1999‑237, s. 16.15(b).)
