§ 143C‑5‑2.  Orderof appropriations bills.

Each house of the GeneralAssembly shall first pass its version of the Current Operations AppropriationsAct on third reading and order it sent to the other chamber before placing anyother appropriations bill on the calendar for second reading. This section doesnot apply to the following bills:

(1)        An appropriationsbill to respond to a disaster as defined by G.S. 166A‑4(1).

(2)        An appropriationsbill making adjustments to the current year budget.

(3)        An appropriationsbill authorizing continued operations at current funding levels. (2006‑203, s. 3.)
