§146‑28.  Agency must file application with Department; Department mustinvestigate.

Any State agency desiring tosell, lease, or rent any land owned by the State or by any State agency shallfile with the Department of Administration an application setting forth thefacts relating to the proposed transaction, and shall furnish the Departmentwith such additional information as the Department may request relatingthereto. Upon receipt of such application, the Department of Administrationshall promptly investigate all aspects of the proposed transaction, includingparticularly present and future State need for  the land proposed to beconveyed, leased, or rented.
