§ 153A‑47. Technical ordinances.

Subject to G.S. 143‑138(e), a county may in an ordinance adopt byreference a published technical code or a standard or regulation promulgated bya public agency. A technical code or standard or regulation so adopted has theforce of law in any area of the county in which the ordinance is applicable. Anofficial copy of a technical code or standard or regulation adopted byreference shall be available for public inspection in the office of the clerkand need not be filed in the ordinance book.
