§15A‑266.11.  Unauthorized uses of DNA Databank; penalties.

(a)        Any person who, byvirtue of employment, or official position, has possession of, or access to,individually identifiable DNA information contained in the State DNA Databaseor Databank and who willfully discloses it in any manner to any person oragency not entitled to receive it is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor inaccordance with G.S. 14‑3.

(b)        Any person who,without authorization, willfully obtains individually identifiable DNAinformation from the State DNA Database or Databank is guilty of a Class 1misdemeanor in accordance with G.S. 14‑3. (1993, c. 401; 1994, Ex.Sess., c. 14, s. 15.)
