Any municipality located within the area of operation of a commissionmay appropriate funds to a commission for the purpose of aiding such commissionin carrying out any of its powers and functions under this Article. To obtainfunds for this purpose, the municipality may levy taxes and may in the mannerprescribed by law issue and sell its bonds. (1951, c. 1095, s. 17; 1973, c. 426, s. 75.)
