§ 161‑2.  Four‑yearterm for registers of deeds.

A register of deeds shall be elected in each county of the State by thequalified voters of the county.  The register of deeds shall serve for a termof four years beginning on the first Monday in December after the election anduntil a successor register of deeds is elected and qualified.
