Prior to the time final plans are made for the location andconstruction of any water system or sewerage system or both, the district boardshall present preliminary plans for such improvement to the county, municipalor regional planning board for their consideration, if such facility is to belocated within the planning jurisdiction of any such county, municipal orregional planning group. The district board shall make every effort tocooperate with the planning agency, if any, in the location and construction ofa proposed facility authorized under this Article. The district board createdunder the authority of this Article is hereby directed, wherever possible, tocoordinate its plans for the construction of a water system or sewerage systemor both, with the overall plans for the development of the planning area, ifsuch district is located wholly or in part within a county, municipal orregional planning area; provided, however, that the approval of any suchcounty, municipal or regional planning board as to any such plan of thedistrict shall not be required.
