§ 1C‑1855.  Procedurefor recognition and nonrecognition of foreign‑country judgment.

(a)        If recognition of aforeign‑country judgment is sought as an original matter, the issue ofrecognition shall be raised by filing an action seeking recognition of the foreign‑countryjudgment.

(b)        If recognition ornonrecognition of a foreign‑country judgment is sought in some otheraction, the issue of recognition may be raised by complaint, counterclaim,cross‑claim, or affirmative defense.  (2009‑325, s. 2.)
