§ 20‑129.1.  Additionallighting equipment required on certain vehicles.

In addition to other equipmentrequired by this Chapter, the following vehicles shall be equipped as follows:

(1)        On every bus ortruck, whatever its size, there shall be the following:

Onthe rear, two reflectors, one at each side, and one stoplight.

(2)        On every bus ortruck 80 inches or more in overall width, in addition to the requirements insubdivision (1):

Onthe front, two clearance lamps, one at each side.

Onthe rear, two clearance lamps, one at each side.

Oneach side, two side marker lamps, one at or near the front and one at or nearthe rear.

Oneach side, two reflectors, one at or near the front and one at or near therear.

(3)        On every trucktractor:

Onthe front, two clearance lamps, one at each side.

Onthe rear, one stoplight.

(4)        On every trailer orsemitrailer having a gross weight of 4,000 pounds or more:

Onthe front, two clearance lamps, one at each side.

Oneach side, two side marker lamps, one at or near the front and one at or nearthe rear.

Oneach side, two reflectors, one at or near the front and one at or near therear.

Onthe rear, two clearance lamps, one at each side, also two reflectors, one ateach side, and one stoplight.

(5)        On every poletrailer having a gross weight of 4,000 pounds or more:

Oneach side, one side marker lamp and one clearance lamp which may be incombination, to show to the front, side and rear.

Onthe rear of the pole trailer or load, two reflectors, one at each side.

(6)        On every trailer,semitrailer or pole trailer having a gross weight of less than 4,000 pounds:

Onthe rear, two reflectors, one on each side. If any trailer or semitrailer is soloaded or is of such dimensions as to obscure the stoplight on the towingvehicle, then such vehicle shall also be equipped with one stoplight.

(7)        Front clearancelamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the front or on the sidenear the front of a vehicle shall display or reflect an amber color.

(8)        Rear clearance lampsand those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the rear or on the sides nearthe rear of a vehicle shall display or reflect a red color.

(9)        Brake lights (and/orbrake reflectors) on the rear of a motor vehicle shall have red lenses so thatthe light displayed is red. The light illuminating the license plate shall bewhite. All other lights shall be white, amber, yellow, clear or red.

(10)      On every trailer andsemitrailer which is 30 feet or more in length and has a gross weight of 4,000pounds or more, one combination marker lamp showing amber and mounted on thebottom side rail at or near the center of each side of the trailer.
