Title to all vehicles sold ordisposed of in accordance with this Part shall vest in the State. Allmanufacturers' serial number plates and any other identification numbers forall vehicles sold to any person other than a demolisher shall at the time ofthe sale be turned in to the Department for destruction. Any demolisherpurchasing or acquiring any vehicle hereunder shall, under oath, state to theDepartment that the vehicles purchased or acquired by it have been shredded orrecycled.
The Secretary shall remove anddestroy all departmental records relating to such vehicles in such method andmanner as he may prescribe. (1973, c. 720, s. 1.)
