The Secretary of Crime Controland Public Safety may adopt rules implementing fines for violation of out‑of‑servicecriteria as defined in 49 C.F.R. § 390.5. These fines may not exceed theschedule of fines adopted by the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Alliance thatis in effect on the date of the violations.
