The State Highway Patrol ishereby permitted the use of aircraft to discover violations of Part 10 ofArticle 3 of Chapter 20 of the General Statutes relating to operation of motorvehicles and rules of the road. It is hereby declared the public policy ofNorth Carolina that the aircraft should be used primarily for accidentprevention and should also be used incident to the issuance of warningcitations in accordance with the provisions of G.S. 20‑183. (1967,c. 513; 1998‑212, s. 19.6(b).)
