§ 20‑279.22.  Notice ofcancellation or termination of certified policy.

When an insurance carrier hascertified a motor vehicle liability policy under G.S. 20‑279.19 or apolicy under G.S. 20‑279.20, the insurance so certified shall not becanceled or terminated until at least 20 days after a notice of cancellation ortermination of the insurance so certified shall be filed in the office of theCommissioner, except that such a policy subsequently procured and certifiedshall, on the effective date of its certification, terminate the insurancepreviously certified with respect to any motor vehicle designated in bothcertificates.
