§ 20‑383.  Inspectorsand officers given enforcement authority.

Only designated inspectors andofficers of the Department of Crime Control and Public Safety shall have theauthority to enforce the provisions of this Article and provisions of Chapter62 applicable to motor transportation, and they are empowered to make complaintfor the issue of appropriate warrants, informations, presentments or otherlawful process for the enforcement and prosecution of violations of thetransportation laws against all offenders, whether they be regulated motorcarriers or not, and to appear in court or before the North Carolina UtilitiesCommission and offer evidence at the trial pursuant to such processes.
