§ 20‑44.  Authority togrant or refuse applications.

The Division shall examine anddetermine the genuineness,  regularity and legality of every application forregistration of a vehicle and for a certificate of title therefor, and of anyother application lawfully made in the Division, and may in all cases makeinvestigation as may be deemed necessary or require additional information, andshall reject any such application if not satisfied of the genuineness,regularity, or legality thereof or the truth of any statement containedtherein, or for any other reason, when authorized by law.
