§28B‑5.  Bond; inventory; accounting.

(a)        Before receivingany property the judge shall require the receiver to qualify by giving bond inan amount and with surety approved by him.

(b)        Within 30 daysafter the date of his appointment, the receiver  shall file an inventory of allof the property of the absentee in military service taken in charge. Every yearthereafter, within 30 days of the anniversary date of his appointment thereceiver shall file a full and complete inventory and accounting with the clerkof superior court under oath, of the amount of property received by him,  orinvested by him, and the manner and nature of such investment, and  hisreceipts and disbursements for the past year in the form of debit  and credit.The clerk shall inspect and audit the inventory and accounting and if heapproves the same he shall endorse his approval thereon, which shall be deemedprima facie evidence of correctness. If the clerk finds evidence of misconductor default on the part of the receiver he shall report the same to the court.In such event, the procedures found in G.S. 28B‑7(b) shall be followed.
