§35A‑1222.  Service of application and notices.

A copy of the application andwritten notice of the time, date, and place set for a hearing shall be servedon each parent, guardian, and legal custodian of the minor who is not anapplicant, and on any other person the clerk may direct, including the minor. Service shall be provided by G.S. 1A‑1, Rule 4, Rules of Civil Procedure,unless the clerk directs otherwise.  When service is made by the sheriff, thesheriff shall make such service without demanding his fees in advance.  Partiesmay waive their right to notice of the hearing and the clerk may proceed toconsider the application upon determining that all necessary parties are beforethe court and agree to have the application considered. (1987,c. 550, s. 1; 1989, c. 473, s. 19.)
