§43‑37.  Owner's certificate presented with transfer.

In voluntary transactions theowner's certificate of title must be presented along with the writing orinstrument conveying or effecting the sale, and thereupon and not otherwise theregister shall be authorized to register the conveyance or other transactionupon proof of payment of all delinquent taxes or liens, if any, or if suchpayment be not shown the entry and new certificate shall note such taxes orliens as having priority thereto.
