§47‑40.  Husband's acknowledgment and wife's acknowledgment before thesame officer.

Where the instrument isacknowledged by both husband and wife or by other grantor before the sameofficer the form of acknowledgment shall be in substance as follows:

I (here give name of officialand his official title), do hereby certify that (here give names of thegrantors whose acknowledgment is  being taken) personally appeared before methis day and acknowledged the due execution of the foregoing (or annexed) instrument.
