The principles of law andequity as well as other North Carolina statutes (including the provisions ofthe North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation Act) supplement the provisions of thisChapter, except to the extent inconsistent with this Chapter. When theseprinciples or statutes are inconsistent or conflict with this Chapter, theprovisions of this Chapter will control. (1998‑199, s. 1.)
