§52C‑5‑507.  Administrative enforcement of orders.

(a)        A party seeking toenforce a support order or an income‑withholding order, or both, issuedby a tribunal of another state may send the documents required for registeringthe order to a support enforcement agency of this State.

(b)        Upon receipt of thedocuments, the support enforcement agency, without initially seeking toregister the order, shall consider and, if appropriate, use any administrativeprocedure authorized by the law of this State to enforce a support order or anincome‑withholding order, or both. If the obligor does not contestadministrative enforcement, the order need not be registered. If the obligorcontests the validity or administrative enforcement of the order, the supportenforcement agency shall register the order pursuant to this Chapter. (1997‑433,s. 10.8; 1998‑17, s. 1.)
