Every bank holding company,not later than July 1, 1985, or within 180 days after becoming a bank holdingcompany controlling a North Carolina federally or State‑chartered bank orbanks, or within 180 days after acquiring control, directly or indirectly, overa nonbank subsidiary or subsidiaries having offices located in this State shallregister with the Commissioner on forms supplied by the Commissioner.
