§53‑36.  Commissioner to report to Secretary of State certain mattersrelative to liquidation of closed banks; publication.

The Commissioner of Banks ofthe State of North Carolina shall on or before the first day of June, 1933, andon the first day of January and July of each year thereafter file with theSecretary of the State of North Carolina a report showing all banks underliquidation in the State of North Carolina, and the names of any and allauditors together with the amounts paid to them for auditing each of saidbanks, and the names of any and all attorneys employed in connection with theliquidation of said banks together with the amount paid or contracted to bepaid to each of said attorneys. If any attorney has been employed on a feecontingent upon recovery said report must state in substance the contract.

Within five days from thereceipt of said report the Secretary of the State of North Carolina shall causesame to be published one time in some newspaper published in each county inwhich a bank or banks are under liquidation, if there be a newspaper publishedin said county. If not, the Secretary of the State of North Carolina shallcause a copy of said report to be posted at the courthouse door in said county.(1933, c. 483.)
