§53‑54.  Transactions not performed during banking hours.

Nothing in any law of thisState shall in any manner whatsoever affect the validity of, or render void orvoidable, the payment, certification, or acceptance of a check or othernegotiable instrument or any other transaction by a bank in this State, becausedone or performed during any time other than regular banking hours. Nothingherein shall be construed to require a bank doing business in this State to beopen when it may otherwise lawfully be closed or to prohibit a bank fromconducting a transaction at times other than its regularly scheduled hours ofoperation.
