Any officer (other than adirector), or employee of a bank, who shall permit any customer or other personto overdraw his account, or who shall pay any check or draft, the paying ofwhich shall overdraw any account, unless the same shall be authorized by theboard of directors or by a committee of such board authorized to act, shall bepersonally and individually liable to such bank for the amounts of suchoverdrafts.
