Each director, officer, andemployee of a State savings bank has a fundamental duty to avoid placinghimself in a position which creates, or which leads to or could lead to aconflict of interest or appearance of a conflict of interest having adverseeffects on the interests of members, customers, or stockholders of the savingsbank, soundness of the savings bank, and the purposes of this Chapter.
