Any private corporationhereafter organized under the laws of this State for the specific purpose ofestablishing, operating and maintaining a foreign trade zone in accordance withthe act of Congress referred to in G.S. 55C‑1 is likewise authorized tomake application for the privilege of establishing, operating and maintaining aforeign trade zone in accordance with the said act of Congress.
