The purposes of this Articleare to promote the public interest, to promote the availability of long‑termcare insurance policies, to protect applicants for long‑term careinsurance from unfair or deceptive sales or enrollment practices, to establishstandards for long‑term care insurance, to facilitate publicunderstanding and comparison of long‑term care insurance policies, and tofacilitate flexibility and innovation in the development of long‑termcare insurance coverage.
