§ 58‑60‑180. Record keeping.

(a)        Insurers, generalagents, independent agencies, and insurance producers shall maintain or be ableto make available to the Commissioner records of the information collected fromthe consumer and other information used in making the recommendations that werethe basis for insurance transactions for five years after the insurancetransaction is completed by the insurer. An insurer is permitted, but shall notbe required, to maintain documentation on behalf of an insurance producer.

(b)        Records required tobe maintained by this Part may be maintained in paper, photographic,microprocess, magnetic, mechanical, or electronic media or by any process thataccurately reproduces the actual document. (2007‑298, s. 1.1.)
