§66‑216.  Enforcement.

The Attorney General shallenforce this Article and may recover a civil penalty not to exceed twenty‑fivethousand dollars ($25,000) for each violation of this Article and may seekequitable relief to restrain the violation of this Article. The clear proceedsof civil penalties provided for in this section shall be remitted to the CivilPenalty and Forfeiture Fund in accordance with G.S. 115C‑457.2. (1989,c. 746, s. 1; c. 770, s. 62.1(1), (2); 1991, c. 235, s. 1; 1998‑215, s.97.)
