§66‑88.  Application of Article after enactment of federal legislation.

If the Congress of the UnitedStates shall, at any time hereafter, enact in any form legislation designed toregulate the interstate distribution, labeling and sale of hazardous articlesin packages suitable for or intended for household use, the Department ofHealth and Human Services shall, upon so determining, issue a proclamation tosuch effect and, from and after the date of such proclamation, this Articleshall be applicable only with respect to intrastate manufacture, distribution,sale and labeling by persons, firms or corporations who do not comply with thefederal legislation as to interstate distribution, labeling and sale of thematerials or articles described in G.S. 66‑85.
