§76‑41.  Obstructing waters of Currituck Sound.

It shall be unlawful for anyperson to obstruct navigation in the waters of Currituck Sound and tributaries,and all persons, corporations, companies, or clubs, who have heretofore placedor caused to be placed any hedging across the mouth of a bay, creek, strait, orlead of water in Currituck Sound or tributaries, made of iron, wire, or wood orother material, for the purpose of preventing the free passage of boats orvessels of any size or class, or to stop the public use of such bay, creek,strait, or lead of water, are required to forthwith remove the same.  Anyperson, corporation, or club violating any of the provisions of this sectionshall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
