When any owner of a registeredfarm desires to cancel the registered name thereof, he shall state on themargin of the record of the register of such name the following: "Thisname is canceled and I hereby release all rights thereunder," which shallbe signed by the person canceling such name, and attested by the register ofdeeds. For such latter service the register of deeds shall charge a fee oftwenty‑five cents (25¢), which shall be paid to the county treasurer asother fees are paid to the county treasurer by him.
