§80‑4.  Certificate of registration.

Upon compliance by theapplicant with the requirements of this Article, the Secretary shall cause acertificate of registration to be issued and delivered to the applicant. Thecertificate of registration shall be issued under the signature of theSecretary and the seal of the State, and it shall show the name and businessaddress and, if a corporation, the state of incorporation, of the personclaiming ownership of the mark, the date claimed for the first use of the markanywhere and the date claimed for the first use of the mark in this State, theclass of goods or services and a description of the goods or services on whichthe mark is used, a reproduction of the mark, the registration date, theregistration number and the term of the registration.

Any certificate ofregistration issued by the Secretary under the provisions hereof or a copythereof duly certified by the Secretary shall be admissible in evidence ascompetent and sufficient proof of the registration of the mark in any action orjudicial proceedings in any court of this State.
