§ 86A‑4.  State Board ofBarber Examiners; appointment and qualifications; term of office; removal.

(a)        The State Board ofBarber Examiners is established to consist of five members appointed by theGovernor. Four shall be licensed barbers; the other shall be a person who isnot licensed under this Chapter and who shall represent the interest of thepublic at large.

(b)        No member appointedto the Board on or after July 1, 1981, shall serve more than three completeconsecutive three‑year terms, except that each member shall serve untilthe member's successor is appointed and qualifies.

No person who has beenemployed by the North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners and has beenremoved for just cause shall be appointed within five years of the removal toserve as a Board member.

(c)        The Governor mayremove any member for good cause shown and may appoint members to fillunexpired terms.
