On June 30, 1981, any nurse who holds a license to practice nursing asa registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, issued by a competent authoritypursuant to laws providing for the licensure of nurses in North Carolina, shallbe deemed to be licensed under the provisions of this Article, but such personshall otherwise comply with the provisions of this Article including thoseprovisions governing licensure renewal.
